Renewable energy research center
launched
A National Science Foundation award
to 14 materials science and engineering research centers includes
$2,325,000
to create a renewable energy research center at the Colorado School
of Mines.
The Renewable Energy Materials Research Science and Engineering
Center has two focuses: using nanostructured materials to improve
solar cells and developing composite membranes to improve fuel cells
and other energy technologies.
The renewable energy research center is partnering with the
nearby National Renewable Energy Laboratory to share researchers and
facilities.
