DOD pumps $20m into algae jet
fuel
The US Department of Defense has awarded
$20 million to General Atomics, Inc. to research and develop commercial
processes for producing jet fuel from algae.
General Atomics, Scripps Institution of Oceanography, Arizona
State University, Blue Sun Biodiesel, Martek Biosciences Corp., Texas
A&M, UOP LLC, Hawaii Bio Energy, University of North Dakota and Utah
State University will carry out the work.
