DOE lines up $6m for wind
The US Department of Energy has announced that up to $6 million is available over the next two fiscal years for research into wind energy generation. The research is in support of the department's "20% Wind Energy by 2030" initiative.
The funding is for research in six areas: turbine research, development and testing; distributed wind technologies; market acceptance; environmental research and siting; transmission analysis, planning and assessments; and workforce development.
