NSF funds offshore wind project
The National Science Foundation has
awarded
David Olinger and Gretar Tryggvason of Worcester Polytechnic Institute
$299,991 to simulate and model floating offshore wind turbines.
The project's aim is to understand how floating wind turbines
behave in order to design platforms that are cost-effective and withstand
large waves.
