NSF funds energy storage projects
The National Science Foundation has
funded a pair of research projects aimed at making batteries and fuel
cells more efficient.
* Improved electrolytes for batteries and fuel cells (Engineering Electrolyte Materials in Energy Storage Devices)
* Improved separator membranes for lithium-ion batteries (First Principles Design of Ionomers for Facile Ion Transport)
